Fire Risk Assessment Training 2019
A message from Strategic Risk Management (SRM)

You will be aware from previous bulletins that you do need to have a fire risk assessment in place in your school to comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, which became law in October 2006.

Many of you have already sent representatives to the courses that were held over  previous years. The evaluation forms from these courses have been very positive and people have found them both worthwhile and informative.

The Fire Risk Assessment Courses for 2019 are listed below. For smaller premises, on one floor, the delegates would be required to attend the first day of the course and for more complex premises that have more than one floor or students with special needs it would be necessary for delegates to attend on both days.

Thameside Centre, Wyatt Road, Staines-upon-Thames TW18 2AY from 9am – 4pm.

One day delegates - Tuesday 25 June 2019

The November course will be held at Thameside Centre, Wyatt Road, Staines-upon-Thames TW18 2AY from 9am - 4pm.

One day delegates - Tuesday 19  November 2019
Two day delegates - Tuesday 19 & Wednesday 20  November 2019

Following the course our Fire Safety Advisor will give you advice  on your school’s Fire Risk Assessment.

The one day course is £130 (small premises, one floor) and the two day course £220 (complex premises, or students with Special Needs – more than one floor) for Surrey maintained schools, which includes lunch and refreshments. For non Surrey schools and academies not in the buyback scheme, the cost is £170 for the one day course and £280 for the two-day course.

If you would like to attend one of the Fire Risk Assessment courses, please contact Christine Nannozi to check availability before you complete the attached booking form and send to Surrey County Council, County Hall, Room 305, Penrhyn Road, Kingston-Upon-Thames, Surrey KT1 2DJ.
