Don’t miss out on the Surrey wide Eco-summits planned for Wednesday 10 July and Friday 12 July.

The summit can help your school understand more about air quality and work towards an Eco-School award. This year’s summits are being delivered with a number of partners including Surrey County Council, London Sustainability Exchange, Surrey Waste team, Ashden LESS CO, Local Water Authority and the Field Studies Council. The event highlights the countywide venture to build a more sustainable future for Surrey’s schools.

Two events will be held for all schools at the Living Planet Centre Woking on Wednesday 10 July and the Harlequin Centre in Redhill on Friday 12 July, both from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm.

This year’s summits are different to previous years and are suitable for any schools staff that needs help to progress with their eco work in school. The summits will have a strong focus on what schools can do to tackle the growing problem of air quality and will also be an opportunity for schools that have taken part in the DEFRA Funded air quality to celebrate the achievements that have been made in this academic year. There will be new speakers, new workshops and new activities. The summits will have a strong focus on networking with other schools and environmental education providers. There will be representatives from lots of locally based environmental organisations that can provide you with information and future support. There will be exciting and practical workshops on Energy, Water, Waste, Biodiversity and School Grounds. Plus, you will have ample opportunity to ask questions at the Market Place.

There will be a £25 booking fee for up to per delegate from the same school. Lunch is included.
